Evolution of New Study Group
If you’ve been in church or read This Week during Lent you heard about our Bonhoeffer Study Group. That group per se has come to an end this past week. It’s been a very thought-provoking discussion group. So much so that the group has decided to continue in some fashion. Our incredible “teacher/mentor/leader”, Stephen Fisher, has agreed to lead us on a journey of “Mothers of the Church” for our next round. Stephen will be preparing a syllabus on Hildegard of Bingen, Julian of Norwich, Catherine of Siena, Katherine Parr, Teresa of Avila and Anne Bradstreet. Never heard of some or all of them? Curious? Come join this incredulous group. It doesn’t require a lot of reading. In fact you can just come and listen and you will learn a lot.
This next round of theological discussion will begin Monday, June 1st, at 3 pm in the Bigelow Room. Watch for more announcements as we get closer to June but do consider joining us for some stimulating discussions.
